About Us

Mariola Drozd, PSc PhD

President  

Professor and lecturer at the Medical University of Lublin. Experienced in working in a managerial position within research area and teaching unit Pharmacist, practitioner with many years of professional experience in working in pharmaceutical wholesalers, public and hospital pharmacies. Scientific interests focus on the issues related to social pharmacy, primarily pharmaceutical care, pharmaceutical law and the health care economics. Author of numerous scientific papers, congress reports and PhD thesis supervisor. Reviewer in a number of scientific journals. Member of the Polish Pharmaceutical Society and the Polish Pharmacoeconomic Society.

Monika Szkultecka-Dębek, MD, PhD

Vice President 

Medical education and postgraduation in health economics. Extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry in the field of clinical trials, health economics, HTA, RWE, QoL. Lecturer, organizer of international projects and trainings. Deputy editor-in-chief of the JHPOR magazine. Author of scientific publications, reviewer in scientific journals. As a member of the Quality of Life section of the Polish Pharmacoeconomic Society, co-organizer of educational meetings on the subject of quality of life. Author and co-author of numerous scientific publications related to QoL, RWD and HTA, books, e.g. QoL English – Polish Dictionary, Polish ISPOR Chapter Pricing and
Reimbursement Dictionary, Polish QoL Lexicon, chapters in students books related to: QoL and RWD, book chapter about use of RWD in pharmacoeconomics. Reviewer in several specialist journals. Co-creator of vignettes, incl. TSIDAV.

Marta Bem, SScD

Vice President 

Psychologist and translator of literature, Social Sciences Doctor graduated from the Faculty of Educational Sciences at the University of Białystok. Member of TEA (Society for Anti-Discrimination Education), SIETAR (Society for Intercultural Education, Training and Research) and the Association of Literary Translators. Author and co-author of scientific articles and the lexicon of the quality of life, trainer, among others intercultural competences and psychosocial risks in the workplace.

Vision and Mission

Our vision is to improve the quality of life in the society and improve patient health safety, access to medical knowledge and information on specific diseases with impact on quality of life.

The mission of the Foundation is to influence the quality of life through:

– Research, education and promotion of activities aimed at improving the quality of life.
– Expanding social awareness in the field of education, self-development, science and functioning in the area of improving the quality of life.
– Promoting scientific,  technical,  and educational activities as well as knowledge about the quality of life and its components.
– Promoting good practice in quality of life education.
– Transferring knowledge about pro-health attitudes influencing the quality of life and about the factors that determine health.
